Marsh Magic at Golden Hour – Last Night’s Sunset Was Pure Fire!
Last night I found a great spot overlooking the GTM Preserve—just before the sun called it a day and it did NOT disappoint. The sky was doing that perfect orange-to-gold fade, the water turned into a giant mirror, and the whole scene just lit up like someone flipped a switch. I barely had time to set the tripod before the colors went full glow-mode!
I love these quick evening shoots because everything feels alive and a little unpredictable. One minute the light is soft and warm, the next it’s exploding across the water in these crazy reflections.
There’s something pretty cool about chasing these moments: it’s all about opportunity mixed with a little chance. You head out not knowing exactly what Mother Nature’s going to deliver, but by showing up anyway you create the perfect setup to catch something utterly beautiful. Last night that gamble paid off in the best way—the marsh just handed me this glowing masterpiece and I got to freeze it forever.
No fancy setups, no waiting hours—just me, the camera, and Florida doing its thing. These are the moments that remind me why I drag my gear out at dusk every chance I get. The light is softer, the colors pop harder, and everything just feels… happier.
